Finger Lickin Good

I was recently told that Manhattan Mall Food Court will be closing. I say “OH NO”, because this place was a huge source of many of my favorite Fast Food chains ; Wok & Roll, Chicken Bar/Ranch 1, Sbarro’s, Cajun Cafe (home to the world famous “bourbon chicken”), Nathan’s, Arby’s, Arthur Treacher’s, Subway, and the Desert Moon Mexican place. A secret that I wanted to share before this place is completely taken over by JC Penny is Get the Freebies! If you go around lunch time (I’d say 11:30-2:30), the trays and the toothpicks are out. If you’re like me, and sometimes you just don’t want ONE thing, then you know the food court is a great place. It’s a great way to save money. I walk around; I get a piece of chicken. I walk around some more, a slice of quesadilla … It’s really a remarkable place.

If you’re more of an Upper East Side eater try your luck at Eli Zabar’s. This place has more pastries, cheeses and breads for you carb-ies. I say why not take advantage of the taste test. They want you to eat it. Heck, they even give out napkins. Don’t you kids worry! Even if they close the Manhattan Mall food court, there’s still the food court at the South Street Seaport, and they too know how to make a mean General Cho.
